Ramesses IV Tomb … .
This tomb is one of the most impressive in the Valley of the Kings , because it had been visited and measured by the explorer Richard Pocoke as early in 1737 , and had served Champolion as lodging on his visit to Thebes 1828 . Early Christian used it as a Church and left graffiti on its walls . The ancient plan of the tomb had been sketched on a papyrus which is now Turin Museum . The ceiling is wonderfully decorated and colored with cartouches of the king’s names , winged scarabs and hovering vultures .
